Wet-plate collodion is a photographic process introduced by Frederick Scott Archer in 1851. It's used to produce negative of glass using a silver salts gelatine. The useful time to realize the photo is of about 10 minutes (sensibility, develop and fix) before the plate dries and loses sensibility. So, this photographic process forces to use of a photographic laboratory in the immediate proximities of the place of the shoot. The Wet-Plate Collodion process creates a relationship between the photographer and the person. The long times of exposure (2-16 seconds) allow to get, as resulted, an intense portrait.
