Ambrotype – Glass
Wet Plate Collodion Process
8”x10” – 20x25cm

Wet-plate collodion is a photographic process introduced by Frederick Scott Archer in 1851. It's used to produce negative of glass using a silver salts gelatine. The useful time to realize the photo is of about 10 minutes (sensibility, develop and fix) before the plate dries and loses sensibility. So, this photographic process forces to use of a photographic laboratory in the immediate proximities of the place of the shoot. For me it means a return to the Matter and the relationships with the places. A conquest of the space and above all of the time. This picture was part of the serious "Largochiesa".
